Proving Ring

A Proving Ring is a precision instrument used to measure compressive and tensile forces in laboratory and field testing. It consists of a high-strength elastic steel ring of known diameter, with a dial gauge or displacement transducer mounted at its center. When a load is applied, the ring deflects proportionally, and the deflection is read on the dial gauge to calculate the applied force using a calibration constant.
