The Sand Pouring Tray is an essential accessory used in the Sand Replacement Method (Sand Pouring Cylinder Test) for determination of the dry density of in-situ soils as per IS 2720 (Part 28). It is placed flat on the prepared ground surface over the dug hole to guide uniform sand filling during the field density test.
The tray has a central hole that aligns precisely over the test hole in the ground, ensuring accurate and consistent sand pouring without spillage. Available in three standard sizes — 100 MM, 150 MM, and 200 MM — to suit different test hole diameters for fine-grained, medium-grained, and compacted soil testing in field conditions.
